Mission

Conjunto Folklorico Nuevo Milenio (CNM) is a not for profit Panamanian Folkloric troupe based in Brooklyn, New York. CNM performs choreographed versions of the nation’s traditional dances, portraying various aspects of Panamanian life. CNM shall encourage learning, teaching, and showcasing Panamanian folk dance by preserving and promoting its diverse culture throughout the USA.

Founder & Artistic Director

 A Panamanian native born in the province of Colon, Alberto is the Founder & Artistic Director of Conjunto Nuevo Milenio.  He began his dancing career at the age of 5 and studied with many traditional dancers, and musicians throughout the Republic of Panama.  He danced professionally with the Conjunto Musica, Danza y Tradicion of the University of Panama, Colon extension.  In 1998, Alberto  co-founded  Conjunto Nuevo Milenio. His constant dedication to Panama’s Folklore, has helped propel the group forward.  The company continues to make its mark among the Panamanian community throughout the Tri-State area, and in the Republic of Panama.
